Sparfloxacin and Zagam® Antibiotics

Sparfloxacin is an antibiotic belonging to a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones. Sparfloxacin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. Sparfloxacin is the generic form of this antibiotic. Zagam ® is the brand name version of this drug, and manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceutical company. According to the  Food and Drug Administration (FDA) these drugs have been discontinued.
